![]() ![]() That’s not always easy to do, but we can do it if we really focus on God. We can trust God for His protection day and night. We don’t need to fear because God is there to protect us. See God tells us to not fear in this Bible verse for a reason. There’s no time in the day that is left out of this verse. If we don’t need to fear in the day or in the night, then we don’t need to fear at all. In this verse, God tells us to not be afraid of things that might happen in the day and at night. ![]() This Bible verse offers us good news, however, when it comes to fear. We see some of the things going on in the world and it can cause us to fear. – Psalm 91:5Įvery day we run into lots of opportunities to be afraid. As you do that, you’ll see Him continually come through for you.ĭo not be afraid of the terrors of the night, nor the arrow that flies in the day. As you read your Bible, ask God to show you ways that you can depend on Him and trust Him. – Psalm 37:5 (NLT)Įach day, try to trust Him more. Begin trusting Him in small ways and the more you say yes to God, the more you will trust Him. Perhaps you can trust Him to speak to your heart as to where you should go to college. Maybe you can trust Him to show you what classes to pick in the fall. A third way could be simply by beginning to step out and trust Him in daily ways. Reading their accounts can help you begin to trust God. You can also read books about people of faith in History. You begin to see accounts of people who trusted in God and how God saw them through. The more you read the word, the more you’ll realize how trustworthy God really is. One of the best ways to get started trusting God, is to read the Bible. Trusting God though, can be a lot harder. Trusting someone you can see can be easy if they’ve proven themselves. Perhaps you know that they’ll always get you a present for Christmas, so you trust that each Christmas morning you’ll wake up, and have a gift from them. Today, don’t be afraid to step out and do the things He has put on your heart to do. As you do, He will lead you and guide you into more things. Whatever it is that Jesus has spoken to you to do, do it. ![]() Instead, simply do what He told you to do. Today, don’t over-complicate what you feel Jesus is leading you to do with doubt and fear. Perhaps you had an idea to bake cookies for a sick neighbor. What is that one thing that you feel like Jesus has told you to do? Maybe you feel Him leading you to call a friend you haven’t spoken to in awhile. Often, following Jesus is about smaller things. And while those are important decisions to get His input on, following Jesus isn’t always about the big things. We might stress over what career path to choose or who to date. Often, we make following after Jesus hard. This is great advice for any of us who are following God’s plan for our lives. In today’s Bible verse, Mary, Jesus’ mother told the servants at the wedding to do whatever Jesus said to do. His mother said to the servants, “Whatever He says to you, do it.” Let God be your helper when things are tough and you’ll see that He will take you through. Instead, choose to think thoughts about the goodness of God. That isn’t to say that what has been done to you is ok, but rather that you’re not going to let it define you. So if you’re in the middle of a tough time in your life, today determine to choose a positive response. You can choose to let difficult people and situations destroy you or make you better. You are the one in charge of your emotions. ![]() The truth is, regardless of what others do to you. Perhaps you want to do something to them to hurt them as bad as they hurt you. Your natural response might be to get back at them. When things like that happen, it can really be difficult to know what to do. Then all of a sudden you found out that they had been talking about you behind your back. Maybe you had a friend that you thought was there for you. It really hurts when someone betrays you.
